The Basic Chewie is a great starting option for little ones. It is easy to hold due to its round shape. The contrasts and textures of the beads make it even more interesting for the baby. This Chewie massages sensitive gums and soothes the pain of emerging teeth by using resilient silicone and untreated organic beechwood beads.

The wood we use is beechwood. Compared to other types of wood, beechwood has excellent antibacterial properties. We use 100% silicone beads. The silicone is 100% food-grade, resistant to damage, and free from harmful additives like BPA, sulfates, and other additives. Silicone feels soft and smooth and is one of the few materials that are fully recyclable, meaning less waste and a longer lifespan.
For babies, the world is mostly a black-and-white film, as they cannot yet see real colors. However, they can see differences in shades, resulting in a grayscale image. Between 4 and 6 weeks, babies begin to distinguish basic colors. Babies love contrasts. The stronger the contrast, the more interesting it is for them. This is why we work with color contrasts.
Cleaning the silicone can be done with water and mild soap. The beechwood can be wiped with a damp cloth and left to air dry. A baby wipe also works well for this! A Chewie cannot be boiled, placed in a sterilizer, or put in the dishwasher.
With the FSC label, you can be sure that our wood comes from a responsibly managed forest. All our Chewies are tested and certified according to European toy standards (EN71) and are all handmade by us in the Netherlands. We also comply with Directive 2009/48/EC, so our products are safe. The CE marking means that our products meet legal requirements.
