This cool Chewie Rattle is made of silicone beads combined with a large wooden bead and two beechwood rings that are easy for little ones to hold and make a soothing rattling sound. The silicone beads are butter-soft on the gums, and the different textures make it an interesting developmental toy for little ones.

The wood we use is beechwood. Compared to other types of wood, beechwood has excellent antibacterial properties. We use 100% silicone beads. The silicone is 100% food-grade, resistant to damage, and free from harmful substances such as BPA, sulfates, and other additives. Silicone feels soft and smooth. It is one of the few fully recyclable materials, meaning less waste and a long lifespan.
For babies, the world still looks like a black-and-white movie, as they can’t yet see real colors. However, they can distinguish between different shades, so they see in greyscale. Between 4 to 6 weeks, babies begin to recognize basic colors. Babies love contrasts — the stronger the contrast, the more interesting it is. That’s why we work with color contrast.
Cleaning the silicone can be done with water and mild soap. Beechwood can be wiped with a damp cloth and left to air dry. A baby wipe works well too! A Chewie should not be boiled, sterilized, or put in the dishwasher.
With the FSC label, you can be sure that our wood comes from responsibly managed forests. All our Chewies are tested and certified according to the European toy standard EN71 and are handmade by us in the Netherlands, one by one. We also comply with the European Directive 2009/48/EC, so our products are safe. The CE marking means our products meet legal requirements.

As with all Chewies, we advise checking for damage before each use and never leaving your little one unattended while playing or chewing on this product.
