How to measure your nipples:

You can measure your nipples using a regular or nipple ruler, if available. Since nipples are generally round in shape, you need to measure the diameter excluding the areola. It's important to measure both nipples, as their sizes may differ. Begin by stimulating your nipple with your fingers to make it erect and protrude outward for accurate measurement. Gently place the ruler over your nipple and measure its width (diameter), or use a nipple ruler. Once measured, add 2 to 5 millimeters to your measurements to determine your size. Always measure or convert your measurements to millimeters, as nipple shield and breast pump flange sizes are given in this format. Before using a breast pump for the first time, always measure your nipples to ensure they fit correctly into the appropriate flange size.
