Cautions:

Before using for the first time, sanitize the parts in boiling water for 5 minutes.
After each use, wash all parts of your pump kit that come into contact with the breast and breastmilk (breast shield, silicone valve, nipple, back-flow protector) in warm, soapy water.
Do not wash the tubing. Replace the tubing if it gets dirty.
